Almost there ?

So those "another two weeks" have passed..... A week and a half ago when I rewrapped Fi's leg on the Sunday, Fi held it up as if it stung. I had a closer look - she has been losing a lot of her winter coat, but the bandage meant none of the fur on her leg had been able to come off. I did what I could to clean up the areas that aren't sore.... only to discover there were some slightly sore areas on the back of her leg under the fur :(

It isn't really obvious whether these were just hidden by the fur and relate to the original injuries, or have been caused by the prolonged bandaging. The front looked like this:

Still healing, but still some way to go. The vet considered whether to stop the bandaging a week early, but we opted to add some cotton wool to ease the pressure and keep the bandage on an extra week.

Which leads us to today.

You can see the top part of the wound is now healing really well. The main wound still has a way to go. But sooner or later we have to get to leaving the bandage off. Just not today. Next weekend I will take the bandage off on the Sunday, and then the vet will review on Monday. (There is a chance the proud flesh will bleed  so we may need to re-bandage if it turns out to be too soon).

EDIT TO ADD: Oh, and the back of her leg has improved since I uncovered it too :)
