The foot saga continues...

The high winds made getting any riding done a bit... interesting... but we did what we could.

I ended up running out of Flexivite for a couple of weeks for Fi. (Bank Holidays !) As it happened we had some Devil's Relief sitting doing nothing. Now I have been very wary before - whenever Fi has had bute before she has proceeded to decide that she should practice her speed and "airs above the ground" skills and has ended up hurting herself more than the original injury she was having the bute for. But aside from the odd mad moment, she seems to be "feeling good" without going completely nuts :)

So that may be something she stays on.

But Rosie is off work again, with even more restricted time "out" and the rest of the time in the school. She still has her heartbar shoes on but now has "pads" to support the sole.

She had been looking ok, but for a week or so she had just seemed a bit unhappy pottering around on the field. (Much happier in the school). We gave her some time and kept an eye on her, but she wasn't getting any better. Time to get the vet out. She had x-rays and it showed a slightly greater degree of rotation then the x-rays from last year. Pity we can't see into feet without x-rays - but now at least we know.

The grass has really kicked in - so Duds and Fi are also not getting free access to the more grassy paddock any more. Fi because of what the weekly weight taping said... and Dudley because he had that slightly hungover look about him.
