Heading in the right direction

Two days after, the wound had started to dry out but was still raised.

And then the scab started to lift slightly around the edges, and then lift a bit more...

This morning I let Fi out in the yard without putting the tape up, knowing she would go and roll in the  dirt/mud where the grass used to be. She was such a happy horsey and even managed to keep her leg out of trouble :)

The vet came and whipped the scab off - and this is what it looks like now:-

Next vet check is two weeks time, and she can move a bit more.... but not too much. I may turn them out in the field for a short while over the weekend.

At the same time she had her annual vaccination and her teeth done. Duds got sedated and had his teeth done. But Rosie escaped til later in the year.

Later in the day I came back to discover this scene of equine contentment - all three sunbathing in the yard :)
